3 INLAKS RESEARCH TRAVEL GRANTS 

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation has been supporting innovative work in research and scholarship for more than three decades. “Inlaks Research Travel Grant” offers financial support for a maximum of 3 months at a university/institution/library abroad.

The applicants must -
1. hold confirmed Ph.D registration for at least two years but for not more than four years.
2. have a first class degree at either Bachelor’s (Honours) or Master’s level, preferably both.
3. be under 35 years of age on 31 December in the year of applying. 

4 Inlaks Scholarships

Inlaks Scholarships provide the opportunity to young people with exceptional talent in any field to broaden their vision abroad and improve their skills to operate in society, thus making them a future vehicle of change in their environment. The scholarships are of two types: university courses and specific programs. 

Scholarships are open to all Indian citizens who are resident in India at the time of application. Candidates are normally expected to hold a good first degree from a recognized university in India. Indian citizens who hold a good undergraduate degree from a recognized university outside India, must have resided continuously and been employed or been studying in India, for at least two years, after their under-graduation. People having a postgraduate degree (e.g. Master’s or PhD) from a university outside India are not eligible; those who have started but not completed a postgraduate degree outside India are also ineligible.

5 NTPC Scholarship Scheme for Engineering Students, India

NTPC is offering 35 scholarships to students belonging to Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe / Physically Challenged categories pursuing full time degree course in Engineering.

SC-ST Cast, Pursuing fulltime degree in engineering from Govt. recognized university and should be in third year.

7 L&T Build – India Scholarship, India

Scholarship for pursuing M.Tech. at IIT( Delhi and Madras). ECC – the Construction Division of engineering and technology major Larsen & Toubro Limited – will sponsor deserving fresh engineering graduates interested in pursuing an M.Tech. in Construction Technology & Management in IIT (Delhi and Madras).

First – class graduates with minimum aggregate average of 65% marks in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering who will pass out in 2005 from a recognized Indian University / Institute.

8 LIC GOLDEN JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

HSBC and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK are pleased to announce the HSBC Chevening Scholarships. 12 Ratan Tata Trust Awards Scholarships, India

The Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai, offers one-year scholarships at the Masters’ level for students who wish to study in the UK or two-year scholarships in the USA in the broad field of Development Studies, with special focus on Developmental Economics, Public Health or Science-Technology-Society (STS) Studies.

13 Lady Meherbai Tata Trust Scholarship

The Lady Meherbai D. Tata Education Trust awards scholarships to Indian women graduates of recognised Indian universities to pursue higher education abroad.

14 British Council IELTS Scholarship

15 RD Sethna Scholarship

Only those applicants who have passed at least the Secondary School Certificate examination or other equivalent examination and who have secured not less than 50% of the total marks in the last examination given by them prior to the making of the applications are eligible to apply for a loan scholarship.

16 Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund (JNMF) Scholarships The scholarships are available for Ph.D. study in India to the following categories of students: Hold a FIRST Class Post-graduate degree with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate in both graduate and post graduate level,
Already be registered/admitted for Ph.D. degree with a recognized University/Institution in India. Those who have applied for registration and have not yet been registered at the time of submission of application, are not eligible to apply,
Not be above 35 years of age,

17 Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship

The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation under its Scholarship Programme awards interest-free loan scholarships to Indian students with a consistently good academic record. The scholarship amount (upto a maximum of Rs. 20 lakhs) is decided as per the assessment of the Foundation.

Graduates of a recognised university (students in the final year of a degree course and those awaiting their results are  also eligible to apply).

18 Foundation for Excellence (FFE) Scholarship for Higher Education

The Scholarship Program provides financial and other assistance to students for their higher education in India. Assistance is available to any qualified student, irrespective of the applicant's caste, community, gender or religion. To qualify for a scholarship, an applicant must be studying in a course approved by the Foundation and meet specified eligibility criteria. The primary focus of the Scholarship Program is to assist students for studies in professional courses leading to degrees in engineering, technology, or medicine.

Degree courses BE/B Tech, Integrated 5-Yr Dual-Degree M Tech and MBBS, The applicants should have passed their Higher Secondary/Pre-University/Intermediate/ CBSE/ISC or equivalent board qualifying examination not earlier than in 2014.
